Ron Paul a Bigger Bet Than the Patriots

Imagine that! 2008 US Presidential candidate Ron Paul received more betting action than the New England Patriots this week. Say what?

The red hot Patriots are no match it seems for Paul, whose grass roots Internet campaign has been lighting up the odds.

Sportsbook.com released odds this week on how much money Ron Paul supporters will raise in a single day's period - the next scheduled "money bomb" - December 16.

The company was working to possibly adjust the $5 mil over/under line it had originally opened up with.

"We've had some great action thus far on the Ron Paul bet," commented Dave Staley of Sportsbook.com.

With the demand high, a number of would-be bettors have been asking questions that Sportsbook.com was looking for further clarification. One in particular dealt with the fund raising exclusive to the TeaParty07.com website and whether the TeaParty07 site alone should be used for determining how much funds have come in on that day.

In any event, Ron Paul supporters are excited over the likelihood that this type of promo will help boost their candidate's money drive over the target goal of $12 mil set for the 4th quarter of 2007.

His campaign is about to reach the $9 mil mark as early as this weekend.

This is just one of many reasons that the Dec. 16th money bomb can not be stopped nor should it be derailed in ANYWAY. Everyone neds to understand what is happening here with Sportsbook.com opening up a betting line on the TeaParty Money Bomb. People are placing bets....many of those people are probably not hardcore RP supporters but if they place their bets for RP to go over the 5M total (or whatever line it is adjusted to as the month goes on) they will probably be donating to the campaign also to hedge their bets.

This is just one of the dynamics going on with the MoneyBomb that could not be duplicated if the Dec. 16th MoneyBomb never took place. HQ probably does not even know about this action even thoug I sent them an email. that is why no matter what HQ says, we can not even entertain the idea of NOT having the MoneyBomb. Period. All talk of it needs to stop....

Also, this is what I mean when I say that the Tea Party Money Bomb is bigger than just us regular supporters. "Other" people are going to donate to RP to hedge their bets.
