Their demands:

1. Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America.
2. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
3. Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for “straw purchasers”.

There you have it. If you are not for gun control you are not human or American.

Maybe Hollywood is getting worried someone will come after their violent movies?

Ah, no comments allowed. Not surprising in the least. I'm sick of this emotional bullshit from people.

1) if it's a AW(sic) or a pistol it already has to go through a FFL. If it's a bolt action rifle or a shotgun you can sell it P2P with no paperwork. So they are asking for what is already in the law as they are worried about the scary looking guns.

2)

3) It already is a federal crime. Fast and Furious sound familiar?

I only recognized 4 people in that vid. Anyone do better than me?

Oh yeah!

Funny....it's almost as if all Obama thinks he has to do is trot out a bunch of celebrities for the American people to be completely duped into blindly following him anywhere!

No one. Listen, we are living in in 1765, time to stop giving money to the propaganda ministry of the Crown. We need to put our money where our values are.

Based on the facts available right now, none of those things would have prevented Sandy Hook.

Q: From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA?

A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee’s premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes.

[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(b)(3), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]

http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html#gca-unlicensed-acquire

Unless I'm mistaken, if you are in compliance with state law, you can transfer any non-NFA firearm person to person, in state, without going through an FFL.

I'm not sure about CT, person to person transfers may be prohibited without paperwork.

Not that any of this matters, the weapon(s) used by Lanza were stolen from a legal owner who had jumped through all the hoops.

It is the height of hypocrisy and ignorance with these people. They and their security are armed to the teeth yet want to forbid anyone else from defending themselves. They are so full of themselves and think they are some sort of royalty that kind dictate the law of the land to us 'commoners'.

Most of these clowns would crap their pants if they had to do without their own personal security details and bodyguards. But of course, "That's different!" say the elite. Yeah. It's always different when their own asses are on the line.

You read my mind. I remember an interview Michael Moore did where he was asked if he owned a gun and he said that he didn't but he had armed security. Fucking hypocrite...

That is why i dont buy into this hysteria. There are a lot of gun nuts in this country who will never do it. Even the mother of the shooter was a huge gun nut. I would have never guessed it by looking at her or her home. A gun nut could look like Ted Kaczynski or Martha Stewart. Americans are a different breed. Thinking they will line up to turn in guns is a funny idea.

aren't these 2 already the law? Or does #1 have a loophole at gun shows?

I think they mean all guns not just hand guns. It depends on the state.
