I think the exclusion of Ron Paul by the Iowa tax group is a great opportunity for the Paul campaign. This debate was a relatively insignificant event targeted at a small membership group of this organization. It was never going to be a national media event. The top contenders in the Republican field have already declined to attend the event.

Now, it has the potential to become a national media story about how the "political machine" is afraid of Dr. Paul and his message. The fact that Dr. Paul was the ONLY republican not invited is a godsend. It smells of corruption and manipulation, and fear. I think that works for Dr. Paul's campaign bigtime. But only as long as the Paul campaign organizes to take advantage of the exclusion and attracts national media attention to the matter.

Some of this has already started, with the Paul campaign manager slapping down Mr. Failure on radio. We need to see more of this, more press releases, more interviews. The campaign needs to organize a major protest outside the venue, with the intention of attracting the MSM vultures. They love to broadcast video of outraged protesters, so let us oblige them.
