Wild West gun violence mostly a myth

Reading a lot of comments on other sites where the argument is they do not want to turn schools into the Wild West by allowing some teachers to carry. The Wild West with gun fights was mostly Hollywood Fiction and evolved from dime store novels. The truth is a person would have been safer in Tombstone AZ during the Wild West days than today in Baltimore, MD.
