People on Twitter say 2-4 people shot. Wasn't a massacre; he was going after some people he knew.

Fuck. This is getting ridiculous. This year is playing out like a gun-grabber's wet dream.

The USSA consists of 300+ million people. There's going to be the occasional crazy shit happening. If people weren't mind-deaden in government schools they'd have some concept of math and probability.

This is the natural result of failing economy and of a society in moral decay.

This will get national news, sure, but a week ago there were 5 double murders in one day where I live.

Yah, overall 2012 set a record for gun sales and even after this CT nonsense, will continue the trend of much lower violent crime rates nationwide.

Yeah, it will. The media is in full-fledged hysteria mode, drumming up every shooting everywhere. This here is a typical night in Chicago, a city which has some of the toughest gun control laws in the nation (and in the only state without concealed carry.)

Remember when they made shark attacks a big thing, in a year in which shark attacks were actually down?

and a state-controlled media currently monomaniacally focused on any story that they think will help them push an anti-gun agenda

True that. Like people who think tornados are more frequent. They're not happening more often, it's just that now people live all over the place and these days you can snap some video footage of a catastrophe with a cell phone and put it online in seconds.

Plus Thanksgiving/Christmas is *not* the most wonderful time of the year when it comes to suicides/murder-suicides. There's always a bump around this season.

Plus Thanksgiving/Christmas is *not* the most wonderful time of the year when it comes to suicides/murder-suicides. There's always a bump around this season.

According to the CDC, the suicide rate is lowest in the time between Thanskgiving and Christmas. That it was the highest rate of suicide was a common myth which has proven to be wrong. On a simple search of the Internet, it is found that this is a myth (one, by the way, which I believed as well until recently when I learned differently).
