Not that it's good news, but the guns will not disappear overnight. They will be taken away but not in a way most people will notice. Just continue to scare the public and make guns more taboo, it's working, but as I said, it doesn't take overnight.

Maybe, but it might be too politically toxic for them to do so, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. Instead what I'm hearing from right wing media are general calls for more and better security. Armed guards, airport style security, i.d. cards, psychological background checks...things like that that don't sound particularly civil liberties friendly.

conspiracy theories is big business, Alex Jones makes lots of money being an entrepeneur in that area.
Part of the job is to make wild predictions on a constant basis, to keep the fear level high.
Just as the goverment is pumping you with fear about 'terrorists', the conspiracy theories are pumping you with fear about the 'federal government taking over'.

Don't watch too much TV and use your own common sense.
