She works at a gas station in Ohio and she says the ad is awesome :D. She's not even a supporter! But not for long....

I'm gonna go to the two gas stations down the street and see if they have em yet.

Well I meant in general not just for the campaign.

Well I meant in general not just for the campaign.

I'm just foolin' around, don't take anything I say as remotely serious. It's 2:56 AM and my brain is fried because i've been up since 5:40 AM yesterday (college).

I'm tempted to go to a gas station and pick up the newspaper, but I don't think my mom would appreciate it (car engine would wake her up:p).

It really is not that big of a deal. TeaParty07 will be more successful than you imagine. In fact that article on there may eve get more people to pledge on December 16th. It can work the other way around as well.

No. Because he asks them to hold off from doing much of anything. It's not good. He needs to take it down.

TREVOR HAS STILL DONE NOTHING ABOUT THE SITE.

I read Trevor's message at the TeaParty site and I thought it was pretty temperate. Like the official campaign's e-mail, it was reasoned. I doubt that it will confuse new supporters. He promised to update on Wednesday, and I take him at his word.

Deep breaths, everyone. There were similar controversies leading up to Nov.5th, and we were able to attain good sustained baseline contributions and still have a blowout media success with moneybomb. Like Trevor says, a middle way will be found.

i just picked up a copy. it's in 3rd section, 'nation', in the middle.

great print, looks sharp, grabs the attention. all hail lawrence lepard!

now, interestingly enough, on the backside of the full-page RP ad is one for 'US Treasury Gold' and it's also full-page and discusses liberty and sound money.

wow. perfect!

fantastic.

In addition to the Tea party I am drumming up support for my unilateral and arbitrary declaration that the weekend of december1st and december 2nd is national ron paul canvassing weekend- each supporter will canvass and drop off literature at 200 households that weekend- if we have 40,000 do so we will reach 8 million households. if only 1 % of those donates at the teaparty we'll have 8 million more bucks.

by the way- gas station food rocks. pickme up an egg salad sandwich, a zinger and a yoohoo

its not so much a question of temporate or imtemporate as much as it is an unecessary diversion...

the site's sole purpose should be to hook a newcomer...draw him to the video...

this is an unecessary tangent that will distract newcomers

i just hope the average usa today reader doesn't get confused or overwhelmed with information bcause the ad isnt in the formof a pie chart or bar graph like the rest of the paper..."what are these things...these things called 'words'?"

we won't be getting it for another 3 hours or so- the joys of living on the left coast- we get the boxscores late and can watch all of monday night football too.

true. i usually ignore ads, hopefully people actually read them.

I watch all of monday night football and I don't live on the left coast. I also don't have to wake up at 10 on sundays to catch the beginning of the football games. I will go out and buy the paper later today. My guess is that the people will love the ad!

rejoice in thy youth

i plan on purchasing a couple of papers and "inadvertently" leaving the ad in prominent view in my office's break room, one copy in the waiting room, post another above the urinals....

someone mentioned an idea a while back about buying an entire stack at a gas station for $30 or so, and leaving a sign taped on the stand saying "FREE NEWSPAPER -- Courtesy of a Ron Paul supporter"

Is anyone doing this?

I might tomorrow if they have any left..

You might get some free ones at hotels today. They give the USA Today away in the hotel lobby.

I will be buying a stack and stapling a slimjim to the cover of each and tape a sign on the rack that reads:

"USA TODAY HAS BEEN PAID FOR BY SUPPORTERS OF RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT www.RONPAUL2008.com"

Got my copy coming home for Thanksgiving. I only bought one, it looked like it was almost already sold out at my stop, and I've already shared it with two family members and will let other people look at it over the weekend. Great ad for thanksgiving -- "and a campaign ad in every pot".

They were showing a story today of local airport traffic and one shot showed a guy reading USA Today very intently. Yesterday was a great day for an ad.
