a discussion of some of the possibilities, and establishment's preference. Mentions that Tom Davis is one of two being pushed by fiscal conservatives. I think we should add our voice to that.

I want Tom Davis to take out Lindsay Graham, so though he is the best (and indeed, the only good option on the whole list) I will not be adding my voice to getting him selected- not that Haley would even consider him in the first place.

With Davis out of the running, it really doesn't matter who they pick. Everyone else on the list seems like they might be ok on taxes and regulation, but pretty much horrible when it comes to any other liberty issue and full on neocons when it comes to war. So my choice would be the one not listed- Mark Sanford.

The strongest as far as name-recognition in the liberty movement goes, Tom Davis.

But don't forget Lee Bright?

We'd have to have someone well-respected by the people of SC to go after Graham. But lately Tom's been hinting that he could do more at the state capital than in Washington DC (he's probably right). I just hate to see Graham go back for another 6 years, while Sen. DeMint leaves.

We're missing out big if we can't get at least one of these seats.

If you live in SC, it wouldn't hurt to flood the governor's office with suggestions.

It's not that bad. Everyone on that list holding elected office opposed intervention in Libya and voted for Kucinich's Libya resolution. Gowdy and Scott are very bad on civil liberties, withdrawal from Iraq/Afghanistan and cutting military spending. Mulvaney is one of Amash's friends, he's a member of the House Liberty Caucus, he opposed the infinite detention provision in NDAA, is very anti-UN and wants to cut military spending. Mulvaney is still a good choice if Davis isn't chosen.

I'm betting she picks a place-holder and makes DeMint seat the competitive primary of 2014. Establishment will keep heat off Lindsey Graham.
