Media Research Analyst/Writer

FreedomWorks, a vibrant and growing free-market and limited government grassroots advocacy organization, is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to serve as the organization’s Media Research Analyst/Writer.

The Media Research Analyst/Writer will report directly to the Director of Communications to accomplish the daily activities of the media department.

Responsibilities include:



* Find and evaluate news, current events, trends and other information relevant to FreedomWorks' issue set;
* Use the research to draft messaging points, statements, press releases, media blog posts and op-eds under tight deadlines;
* Assist with multiple departmental projects and institutional events around the country.


Qualifications include:



* Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
* Proven commitment to free market principles;
* Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced as well as collaborative and cross-functional environment;
* Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce accurate content under tight deadlines;

* Self-motivating personality with the ability to work independently, sometimes with limited supervision;

Executive Assistant

FreedomWorks, a vibrant and growing free-market and limited government grassroots advocacy organization, is looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support Executive Vice President.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. The candidate must be exceedingly well organized with the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detail are equally important.

Responsibilities include:



* Responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives to coordinate a variety of complex executive meetings;
* Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications on behalf of the Executive Vice President;
* Assist with preparation of presentation materials;
* Review and summarize miscellaneous reports and documents; prepare outgoing mail;
* Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner;
* Arrange travel schedule and reservations as needed;
* Work closely with all departments to coordinates meetings and events.


Qualifications include:



* Bachelor’s degree;
* 2+ years experience supporting at the executive level;
* Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of board meetings;
* Experience assisting management with the creation of PowerPoint presentations;
* Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet;
* Experience scheduling travel arrangements for management;
* Ability to work independently, quickly and under pressure;

Junior Graphic Designer

FreedomWorks, a vibrant and growing free-market and limited government grassroots advocacy organization, is looking to expand its technology area with a Junior Graphic Designer.

The Junior Graphic Designer will assist all FreedomWorks departments on a variety of projects. The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for general graphic design, day-to-day website maintenance, as well as offering strategic improvements in these areas.

Responsibilities include:



* Graphic design and brand identity management;
* Design promotional graphics for t-shirts, pamphlets, and other printed materials;
* Create banner ads, logos, and other graphics for the web;
* Assist with the creation of micro-sites;
* Assist with the maintenance of FreedomWorks web content. This includes www.freedomworks.org, connect.freedomworks.org , pac.freedomworks.org, www.freedomworksforamerica.org.


Qualifications include:



* Proven commitment to free market principles;
* Advanced skill with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign;
* Working knowledge of HTML and CSS;
* Flash, Premiere, and Drupal experience preferred;
* Experience with Convio is helpful, but not required;
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a collaborative, cross-functional environment;
* Excellent judgment and ability to make recommendations and decisions;
* Proven ability to prioritize changing workloads, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team;
* Attention to detail and ability to recognize and flag issues;
* Excellent project management skills.

Campaigns Manager

FreedomWorks, a vibrant and growing free-market and limited government grassroots advocacy organization, is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to serve as the organization’s Campaigns Manager.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ worth of on-the-job experience with campaigns and able to help organize grassroots events including campaign communications and related activities.

While the position will reside within FreedomWorks’ Campaigns group, the position requires working closely with departments across our organization in order to support new and ongoing organizational objectives.

Responsibilities include:



* Write and produce grassroots educational and advocacy communications;
* Manage campaigns and events within the department and with activists on the ground;
* Manage the day-to-day aspects of campaigns including collaborating with other internal stakeholders, i.e. development, membership, marketing;
* Report on events, activities and finances;
* Build and maintain activist networks in key states for issue, state, and federal campaigns;
* Provide online and in-person training to small and large groups of individuals;
* Speak at campaign events;
* Outreach to other organizations and activist networks that align with FreedomWorks’ mission.
