It should also be pointed out that unlike Rubio and most of the other major GOP contenders, Cruz’s stands on foreign and defense issues have been closer to that of isolationist Rand Paul than the Republican mainstream.

Tobin is a major loser who is rude to Rand Paul, even when conversing with him.

Cruz is still very young - 42 I think. He should support Rand in 2016 and wait to run himself after he's built up more of a record as a Senator.

I agree with you, but I think Cruz running is a real possibility. I tend to think he will not since it would be very soon for him, but you never know.

If he's eligible he'd be a great running mate for Rand. I'd like him or DeMint (who may retire anyway from the Senate in 2016).

Maybe a candidate for VP?

Haha, we're on a similar wavelength. I think Cruz could be a good VP candidate for any of the potential Presidential candidates (other than Rubio).

Article Translation: "We still love racial politics, and we need Marco Rubio because he is hispanic, but stay away from this Cruz guy."

Let the smears begin.

Since Cruz was born in Canada it could feed the conspiracy theorists that have developed some original, if absurd ideas about who is eligible for the presidency. Like George Romney and John McCain, Cruz was not born in the United States.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada, how is that a Conspiracy Theory?

Cruz argues that he is eligible :

-
While some critics contend that Cruz is not eligible to run for president since he was born in Canada, he has asserted that doesn’t preclude him from the office.

“The Constitution requires that one be a natural-born citizen, and my mother was a U.S. citizen when I was born,” he told The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza.

Yesterday on the Chris Matthews show they were talking about isolationism in regards to Joe Kennedy, and then threw in antisemitism as if it was related. Guess Matthews doesn't like his hero Kennedy's father.
