Lawyers for Strauss-Kahn and the housekeeper, Nafissatou Diallo, reached the agreement in recent days, a source told The Associated Press. The deal, which was brokered by Bronx Supreme Court Justice Douglas McKeon, has not yet been signed.
A court date is expected next week, the source said.
French media are reporting the pair will settle for $6 million.
