The big move-out is underway: Lawmakers who lost reelection or are retiring from office are packing up their Capitol Hill office suites this week to make way for new members.

One of those stepping down is Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), who’s not only packing up his office, but also selling his D.C.-area condo and moving back to the Lone Star State.

As part of a new series of interviews with departing lawmakers, Brook Silva-Braga, host of The Washington Post’s nightly broadcast, “The Fold,” spoke with Paul this week. The congressman discussed his career highlights, what he believes are the most damaging special interests in Washington and why he didn’t mount an independent presidential campaign this year.

2chambers and his colleagues will be conducting similar interviews with departing lawmakers in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Exit interview is soooo sad.. because of what it is.

So.. he's selling the DC condo. I wonder if Rand had first dibs on it.
