On Monday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (NV) stated that the Senate would begin consideration of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A vote could be as early as Thursday, November 29.
We need you to call your senators’ offices (even if you have already done so) urging them to stand against the CRPD and protect U.S. sovereignty.
If the CRPD is ratified, Article 7 of this treaty would establish the “best interests of the child” legal standard. This would override the traditional fundamental right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their child with special needs.
The article also talks about the hidden dangers, and how misinformed the politicians are on this issue: http://www.hslda.org/docs/news/2012/201211270.asp?src=slide&slide=UNCRPD_2&pos=1
Please read, take action, and notify others....thank you.
