A Texas police department will investigate claims that an officer cursed and used excessive force against a teen, after the teen’s mother said she will make a complaint on Monday.

Andrew Rodriguez, 17, resisted arrest when police tried to take him into custody on an old trespassing warrant, according to his mother Kelly Pope.

A video of the incident taken by Rodriguez’s friend shows an officer in control of Rodriguez on the ground when another officer comes running over.

“He knows he handled it badly at first, that he should have been a little more cooperative,” said Pope, who lives in Hurst, a town located between Dallas and Ft. Worth. "[The officer] comes up at a jolting sprint, kneed him right in the back of the head and as you can see on the video and says, 'If you move I’m gonna bleep bleep kill you,” Pope said, describing the video.

The officer, who identified himself on the video as "Arnold 654," also used a gay slur after the teen used it.

I'll refrain from reading the comments. That's how the majority of the cops act around here. Then you can notice his fellow officer did not try to intervene. (except to tell the kid to quit recording) And then they wonder why...

For the cursing, who cares? If he's crazy enough to resist arrest, then the "f" word isn't going to scar him. Unfortunately, the officer's knee to the head is bad and causes people not to respect the police.

Unfortunately, you've got officers risking their lives and are NOT supported by the justice system. If resisting arrest carried a substantial penalty, then maybe the criminals would think twice.

Bottomline is that the penalties for criminals is a joke and the officers risk their lives for that joke. It's not far fetched for an officer to lose it knowing full well that this PUNK is going to walk with probation.

Frankly, all penalties for crimes should be mandatory and doubled. No more liberal judges letting punks off.

truelies?

Generally, a person makes a terrorist threat by threatening a violent crime with the purpose of terrorizing another or of causing public panic or inconvenience. http://www.criminalattorney.com/news/terrorist-threats/
