Today I was reading some loony laws and thought I would about posting a thread.

It is illegal to fart in public in Florida after 6 p.m. :confused:

Texas has a law banning certain chemistry equipment that could be useful for making illicit drugs. Things like hot plates, funnels and distillation apparatus are specifically mentioned. Yes, by their legal definition, Texas has banned coffee pots!

It's against the law to sing off-key in N.C. I imagine the cops could have a heck of a Karaoke bust!

Additionally, elephants may not be used to plow cotton fields.

Minnesota has made it illegal for women to dress up as Santa Claus.
Thankfully, there are no laws barring them from dressing up as naughty elves.

Why 6 pm ?

The law sites states that they want to attract more tourists so it is forbidden.

To prevent suicides, in New York the penalty for jumping off buildings is death...:rolleyes:

Come on, have some fun, in Louisiana, to bite someone with your bare natural teeth is considered "simple assault,” while biting with your dentures is “aggravated assault.”

You got me lol. You also couldn't fish with a firearm, dynamite, electric current, or pretty much anything but a fishing pole lol.

I recalled a movie Les Triplettes de Belleville where one of the old ladies threw a grenade in a pond and got hundreds of frogs for dinner. She mainly uses it against the French mafia. I never knew there was a French mafia before this.

This is a terrible law...

In South Carolina (I am not surprised) it is legal to beat your wife in front of the courthouse on Sundays :eek:

In Kentucky, a woman is forbidden to wear a bathing suit on a highway unless she is armed with a club or is escorted by at least two officers. The amendment says that the provisions of this statue “shall not apply to a female weighing less than 90 pounds or exceeding 200 pounds.
