I'm guessing at least 2 million since that many voted for him in the 2012 primaries. But because of bad rules in my city(NYC) I was unable to vote for Ron Paul and I love Ron Paul and am a big fan of him so I count too. How many in total estimate are Ron Paul supporters? I believe Paul said once "I didn't want to disappoint the 2-3 million supporters of me out there" or something like that in 2008. What are the chances he has 5 million+ supporters out there? And is that a big number?

If the 10% figure from the 2012 election can be extrapolated worldwide, and there are 7 billion people on planet earth, I'd say there are probably 700-million of us. Now granted, only a small fraction of those people KNOW they are Ron Paul revolutionaries, and many who don't probably don't even know his name...but it doesn't change what they are...waiting minds just ripe for brushfires of liberty to be kindled therein!

id say 5 - 20 million. more if he got to speak more in the debates.

i know that number seems crazy high, but in 08 only 5 people i knew were RP supporters. now almost everyone i know love the guy, but most didnt understand the voting process and skipped voting.

I agree. Many more people now know of Ron Paul.

Depends on what you count as a supporter. There were a lot of people who liked RP and didn't vote for him in the primaries but would have in the general.

All of the folks who voted for Ron Paul don't support Ron Paul. 1 of his best states was VA. Many of the people in VA who voted for Paul don't support him. There were only 2 candidates on the ballot. Many of the folks who voted for Paul in ME don't support Paul as it was known that the race was only between Romney and Paul in ME. Outside of those 2 states, most of the people who voted for Paul supported him, outside of the liberal Democrats who just voted for him because there wasn't a competitive Democratic Primary and he was the least bad among the Republican candidates in their mind.

If you take the Matt McDonald video as a vote count representation...

at about 3:20 or so the vote was...

8 for Ron Paul

7 for Santorum

5 Romney

2 Undecided

After the head cheeses had their way with the tally it somehow equaled;

2 for Ron Paul

9 for Romney

5 for Santorum

So you tell me how many people really voted for Ron Paul?

How many would have if the party wasn't kicking its own contestants in the nuts right out of the starting gate?

At least 10 mil, many people didn't vote for him because they didn't think he could win, dont trust the political process, underaged, host of other reasons too.

I'm guessing at least 2 million since that many voted for him in the 2012 primaries.

You also have to remember that:

1. As in 2008, Ron Paul was the last to drop out. Meaning he was the only non-Romney still actively running, and probably padded his national vote total some.

2. States like Virginia, where Paul received 107,451 votes, most of which he surely would not have gotten had Gingrich and Santorum been on the ballot.

I'd say Ron Paul, as of now, has around one million or so true supporters, probably about 5%-10% of that are active supporters like you see on his Facebook page or here.
