This is mutual aid. Something I am in great support of.

I thought it was going to be the left's version of the Tea Party (eventually being co-opted by MSNBC) but I haven't heard much from them since the NYPD shut down their tent village in Zuccotti Park. That was a year ago. Perhaps they divided themselves over the same issues they claimed to be fighting against.

‘Occupy Wall Street’ Doc Accused Of Stockpiling Bomb-Making Materials, Weapons (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/11/20/occupy-wall-street-doc-accused-of-stockpiling-bomb-making-materials-weapons/)
Roberto Rivera Called A 'Quiet, Shy Intellectual' By His Ridgewood Roommate

CBS News
November 20, 2012

He’s a doctor and a passionate supporter of the Occupy Wall Street movement, but prosecutors say the New Jersey physician was hiding something in his apartment that could have proved deadly.

In court, Dr. Roberto Rivera was calm and meticulous, making sure he understood the charges lodged against him.

“You’ve been charged with recklessly failing to take reasonable measure to prevent or mitigate widespread injury or damage by handling or storing hazardous materials,” Central Municipal Court Judge Jae Kim said.

Prosecutors and the FBI say the 60-year-old doctor was stockpiling large amounts of bomb-making materials in his second-floor apartment inside a quaint Ridgewood house. They also say he had a stash of weapons, including an assault rifle that he wasn’t permitted to own, CBS 2’s Christine Sloan reported.
...

He is being held at the county jail on $1 million bail.

As to the OP, I could not stomach reading the entire article or all of the comments.

It becomes circular, the 1% cannot be trusted so put more power over everything using regulation controlled by the 1% and everything will be fine, sort of thing.
Again, I don't think the answer is more government. It comes down to following the Constitution, then fine tuning it (the Constitution).
Fruad is fraud, we don't need more fraud laws, we need truth and justice, and, yes, sound money. And when I say justice, I'm not talking about some elusive thing, I mean guilty/not-guilty of fraud based on the truth. Democracy will not provide saftey or justice because the people, in general, do not understand what justice is. Justice is not "fairness" and/but that whole concept does need exploring (that of fairness) in the open.

You need permission to own an assault rifle now? Oh, nevermind, it's Jersey. I have friends almost begging me to come see them up there, fuck that, I don't go anywhere unarmed, and refuse to step foot in a state that brands me a criminal because I'm armed.

This doesn't even make sense. Or is that the point?

Capitalism should be abolished and replaced by democracy.

That's the point. Anti-capitalist themes have been recycling for weeks now.

#ows is active and news of their work has been blacked out from local and mainstream media.

is OWS still a thing

OWS has become organized and focused on helping people. There are tons of different things they are branching and doing to help people. If we the Liberty movement can be called "right leaning" then Occupy is the "left leaning" version of us. It's becoming the new paradigm.

Occupy vs Liberty

instead of

Democrat vs Republican

We have alot of common ground. We are hardcore dedicated activities who actually give a shit and we have compassion for other people.

We need to build bridges if we are to ever have a shot at fixing this country.

Yawn. One person provides evidence that OWS is socialist, another retorts with a picture of FEMA people eating sandwiches.

The point is, OWS is not a cohesive liberty movement by any means. It's, at the very least, completely scatter-brained and a total waste of time. I wish people would just let it die already. OWS is a shadow of a former nothing.

What's more, the evidence of socialist roots far outweighs any evidence that it was spawned via the liberty movement. What liberty movement thinks occupying any public space is really a productive way to spread the message? That just smacks of communism. Not socialism, communism.

A million dollar bail for a pre-crime? What was that thing in the Constitution about no excessive bail?

Exactly. This is the kind of brain-dead people that occupy wall street. They don't even understand that capitalism isn't a form of government, and they think democracy should "replace" it. Not to mention they still hold some sort of creepy love for democracy without really knowing what it entails except that everything is supposed to be fair. You can tell this much and much more about the person who made that statement just by that one statement alone. There's no telling what other stupidity they spew forth and have their little OWS clique nod in agreement.

Ok, I'm just rambling.

Build bridges with OWS? Pointless, waste of time, and completely ineffective if not harmful. Just let it die.

What am I cherry picking? What more education do I need to be able to look at something that started by sitting around in a public square and tell that it's a socialist movement, especially considering all the socialism that comes out of that zoo every day, or at least used to.

What's more, why are we even thinking about it as relevant anymore? Does this shit still even happen? As far as I'm concerned, Occupy ended a long time ago. Did it take on an internet presence? What's going on?

Abolish capitalism - LOL. Stupid is stupid. Capitalism can't be abolished you twits, capitalism is the movement of subjective value.

Alright folks, let's tie ourselves up and lay down until we starve to death.

HAHAHHA. Classic retardation.
