18 Democrats lost elections (primary and general) in 2012:

Altmire, Jason
Baca, Joe
Berkley, Shelley
Berman, Howard
Boswell, Leonard
Carnahan, Russ
Chandler, Ben
Clarke, Hansen
Critz, Mark
Hochul, Kathy
Holden, Tim
Kissell, Larry
Kucinich, Dennis
Reyes, Silvestre
Richardson, Laura
Rothman, Steve
Stark, Pete
Sutton, Betty

16 of the 18 (88.9%) voted for Ron's Audit the Fed bill. The two who voted against the bill were Reyes and Stark.

Is it a coincidence that most of the Democrats who lost also voted for Audit the Fed or are those in tough re-elections really susceptible to public pressure from their constituents?

It should also be noted that 4 of the 5 Democratic Congressmen who got elected to the Senate also voted for Audit the Fed.

If you live in a swing district, you may have a lot of influence on your Congressman if you can get organized and get lots of people to act on certain bills.

It should be noted that a number of them lost primaries before the vote occurred. I know that's the case for Kucinich and Altmire, and probably others as well.

Good point. 5 of them lost before the Audit the Fed vote, which means 12 of 13 (92.3%) voted for the bill then lost.

These are the 13:

Baca, Joe
Berkley, Shelley
Berman, Howard
Boswell, Leonard
Carnahan, Russ
Chandler, Ben
Clarke, Hansen
Critz, Mark
Hochul, Kathy
Kissell, Larry

And wasn't Kucinich pretty much Gerrrymandered out of office? What about the others?
