Let's not flatter ourselves too much. The corrupt establishment and media pump candidates because thats how the maintain power. Gingrich or Santorum or anyone is fine with them if they "play ball", can spout off some BS and can hide their baggage... Or obviously as patsies too, as I have to believe romney was.
