Don't agree with Cornel West politically, but he makes some very good points.

Rockefeller is a Banker, Obama is a Community organizer.

Kind of a big difference.

He didn't say "Obama is Nelson Rockefeller" he said Obama is a Rockefeller Republican. Politically they are very similar. Rockefeller Republicans are what we usually call RINOs, the big spending, welfare and warfare loving, Keynesian, socially liberal wing of the GOP. Obama's policies as president fit right into with them.

Kind of a big difference.

The big bankers used "community organizers" to further their agenda. Think "who pushed the NINJA loans" versus who ultimately benefited from them. There's reason Obama got more money from Wallstreet than did McCain. It isn't because they thought he would fix the economy. Unless you're using the "rigged" definition for "fixed".

The A.C.O.R.N. doesn't fall far from the tree.

Madelyn Lee Payne Dunham

The Dunhams then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where Stanley found a better furniture store opportunity, and Madelyn started working at the Bank of Hawaii in 1960 and was promoted to be one of the first female bank vice presidents in 1970.

Hawaii. 1970's. Bank of Hawaii. Democrat programs "helping people" up the yazoo.

Corruption with a capital 'C'.

TARP voting McCain never mentioned TARP voting Obama's banking grandmother. lol

So, basically, he's a neocon of the Irving Kristol model.

Welcome to 4 years ago, Cornel West!

He's just a tyrant who is out for his own power. Talking about him with these labels ie. socialist or neocon is silly.
