The 4.3 million raised on Nov 5th is chump change...if we top 10 million on 12/16, it's still chump change...If we generate 20 million of publicity from 12/16...well, compared to Rudy and Hliary, we are still outspent by a factor of 20 to 1.

Huhhhh? What am I talking about?

The favorable publicity that the media mogul give to "the front runner" is not worth millions...nor 10's of millions...but BILLIONS!

Hilary, Rudy, and Obama have been on the cover of Time mag. Put a dollar value on that!

They are refrred to...night after night as "the front runners" on TV news. What's the dollar value on that?

The Chuck Norris endorsement of Hucksterbee was all over the major media.....how much is that worth.

We can overcome these billions of dollars of constant press that our opponents get because we have the truth on our side. But make no mistake....it's going to take an enormous amount of cash to pour in on a steady basis.

The 12/16 Money Bomb is a great PR tool...but we all need to find a way to max out. I'll cut the college kids a break...but even those of us without the means have to find a way to max out. Sell something, take out a loan....find a way.

Do you really want to look back at this campaign and wonder "What would have happened if we all found a way to max out." This nation is in SERIOUS trouble. Four years from now may already be too late to turn back.

Alarmist you say? Just look at socialistn Europe. The EU is firmly in place and it will NEVER be repealed. There are even "anto-Xenophobia" laws being proposed to put Europeans in jail for complaining EU and the immigration mess in Europe. about We still have time...They don't.

I wonder how many Europeans today are asking themselves.."What if we had given more to the anti EU efforts while there was still time."

A $100 is NOTHING

It won't take money.

The only one thing that can make this happen is the canvassing grassroots. The money bomb is the delicious side dish, but the canvassing and hands-on work is the main meal.

Please tell people about Ron Paul every day.

That's right. Whenever I have extra cash, I donate, before I get a chance to spend it on something useless.. This is a rare chance to save our country. Don't waste it.

they had 5.5mill on hand at end of last Q..then they have collected 8M more so far this Q.

...thats 13.5M ...i know they have not spent even 1/2 of that.
and if they have, they havent said how/where.

besides, nomatter what they spend, the media doesnt give notice.
the only thing that will make them talk, is the money bombs...so thats how we have decided to do it.

yeah, by my calculation they still have spent the 5.3 from last quarter, again donate when you got it and do you best to dwhat you can on the 16th but I think the grassroots has picked up a lot of slack on the financial disparity betweeen campaigns.

The amoung they spend to get their donations, and the amount of staff they have to hire is exponentially more than Pauls campaign. So I wouldn't go too far, we just to win the primary, if we can do that, the national media coverage will be there.

Donate what you can, canvass as much as possible.

You don't know that, Kirby. They have opened up at least 3-4 new offices. Have vastly increased the campaign staff. Are running TV ads, radio ads, 12 page booklet mailouts and now automated calling to New Hampshire and Iowa. They are just getting started on Nevada and South Carolina. All this costs huge amounts of money.

I have no reason to doubt their word. They say they need money to be able to secure the advertisement time they need to make a difference for the primary and I, for one, am going to take them at their word.

Big difference between "i know" and "i think".

I don't have a clue how much money they've spent so far. I do believe that they'll be using the bulk of the donations for TV advertising as, in the US, that does seem to be the most effective way of reaching the voters.

Did you copy + paste this exact, literal response from the other thread?

The campaign has told us in their official communication that they expect that in order to perform well they need to spend all of the money they have raised so far in 3rd and 4th quarter on advertising in these critical early states, including New Hampshire and Iowa, and they need to buy and schedule all of this advertising for the rest of the year within the next 2 weeks.

The media doesn't have to give notice. They are the media. Your contributions are funding advertising campaigns that real people are seeing directly and unfiltered on their televisions.

This does not undermine the 16th. Donate now, and donate more then. Or set aside some to donate on the 16th. Most people can afford to donate more than they were planning to donate on the 16th.

Are you forgetting how much more they are paying for staff now? How about all the new offices they opened and the new campaign office that headquarters is in? Those things are not free.

I just have to ask, did any of you bashing the campaign over this actually read the email in its entirety?

Because people keep repeating things saying essentially that they don't believe the official campaign is spending money, and don't believe they need to spend the money.

If you are not a resident of an early state, the most important thing you can do is contribute and get the word out to get others to contribute. Your contributions will fund these advertising campaigns in these critical early states.

They have spent millions on advertising so far.

And they will be spending millions more over the next 2 weeks to buy and schedule advertising in these critical early states through the end of the year.

This is exactly what we should want them to be doing.
