ultimately this criminal enterprise will attain such bloated size and scope that its own survival will no longer be possible, and it will implode, as the Soviet Union and other similarly overreaching politico-economic orders have imploded. Governments that grow and grow ultimately find that their predation becomes greater than their prey can support, at which point such predators are doomed. How can an abstract concept like capitalism be enlightened???? Turning it into a element determined by subjective whim and emotion, robs it of it's integrity. Capitalism works best, when it has no master.

They hold this bizarre vision of some perfect egalitarian utopia close to their hearts, and will sacrifice many individuals in order to attain this unrealistic goal. Don't be fooled by the benign verbage they utilize. We are in the path of the bulldozer.

Somethings are better off dead than alive. Maybe something greater can come out of its ashes/grave if I were to die, god knows the republican party is one such candidate. So here is to a new and improved republican party, may dead strike the old republican party so it can stay dead and refrain from coming back to corrupt the new republican party.

The writer certainly is confused. He believes that "radically competing worldviews" is the same as taking two different planks from the Democrat Party and pretending that they are "opposing" views. :rolleyes:


Don't get me wrong: I am not calling for a one-party system. I believe that a debate between competing points of view is vital to the citizens' continued interest in their politics and their leaders' accountability.

The problem is that we now have 2 parties that just have different positions on a fraction of issues. What we need are 2 competing parties that express two radically competing worldviews. One of these worldviews is enlightened capitalism, represented by the Democratic party. The other is harder to find, but it exists, or at least the idea behind it exists, and it is the environmental ideology, which is to say what the Greens broadly stand for, although not necessarily the Green party as it exists today in America.

For as bad as the republican party is, it still acts as a firewall between the democratic party. We need to find a viable alternative quickly if you want to discard the Republican Party.

Wow, these guys sound like Bolshevik thugs. They want to turn us into Europe where the governing bodies are dominated by hard nosed liberals competing against outright socialists, with some far right party that has no chance on the extreme.

This is the only bitter coating to the big GOP losses yesterday. Liberals are acting like Chavezistas calling for our heads today, and it will probably continue until they get another punch to the face in 2014.
