Sign at 1:24 “State of Emergency--(4 letters) curfew--6PM to 6AM”

Partial transcript follows:

:50 – In New Jersey, emergency crews and the national guard are still going door to door searching for survivors where families have been stranded by flood waters. Some shore residents have been allowed back to view the damage to their homes. Some areas, including Atlantic City are still under mandatory evacuation. And others, like Seaside Heights, are under martial law.

1:10 – Isolated reports of looting (1-2 words missed). Also, there’s plenty of gas in the northeast. Unfortunately, it’s not at gas stations. Drivers’ll line up for hours in New York and New Jersey waiting to fill up their tanks while millions of gallons of gasoline are sitting at the ready in storage tanks, pipelines, and tankers that can’t unload their cargoes. One expert describes it all as a stopped up drain.

I can't find anything other than that 1 ABC report mentioning martial law, so I would say it has not been declared.

Dusk to dawn curfews are pretty standard during times like these with no power.

We are already in a soft martial law. With each disaster the National Guard are brought in...we have been acclimated, over the years, to see them on the streets. Not to mention the military will be deployed (http://news.yahoo.com/nj-military-trucks-polling-places-215549869.html) for voting in places like New Jersey.

A Soft Kind of Martial Law

There is no First Amendment.

No freedom of speech, no redress of grievances.

There is no Fourth Amendment.

No right to privacy, no warrants required.

There is no Second Amendment.

No RIGHT to keep and bear arms, it is now a 'privilege'.

And it goes on...

If Martial Law were to be defined as a suspension of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, then we are in a soft kind of Martial Law. It's either that, or they are simply lawless from the top.
