Wyden has really showed himself to be a true ally on civil liberties. He voted against the NDAA as well and co-sponsored Rand's hemp bill.

this makes me sick.

Attorneys take an oath to defend the Constitution. Where are their ethics?

ATTORNEYS flagged the lack of trials etc for people at Guantanamo. THIS is what Shakespear meant when he said that to create dictatorial power of the influential people would have to 'First ....kill all the lawyers....' so people wouldn't know their rights.

an oath is an oath.

I know what a lot of people think of the ACLU but you could use the letter to help write your own to tell your Senators to vote no. Even try to help to get Rand to filibuster FISA.

Tell your members of Congress: Fix FISA

The following letter was recently sent to U.S. senators, urging them to oppose renewal of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008:

the Senate is expected to consider its extension of FISA. Take action now to tell Congress to Fix FISA.

http://www.aclu.org/blog/national-security/third-times-not-charm-when-asking-about-warrantless-wiretapping

Nearly four years ago, Congress passed an unconstitutional domestic wiretapping bill the FISA Amendments Act (FAA) allowing the NSA to spy on Americans' international phone calls and emails. This law is set to sunset at the end of 2012 and it should be allowed to sunset with out being renewed.

The bill it self should be filibustered because of it's gross violations of the Fourth Amendment to our Constitution. Protect the Fourth Amendment!

I am a constituent and I urge you to Filibuster H.R. 5949: FISA Amendments Act Reauthorization Act of 2012 and S.3276 FAA Sunsets Extension Act of 2012 when they come up for a vote!

Those two Democratic Oregon Senators do some good things from time to time.

Wyden has really showed himself to be a true ally on civil liberties. He voted against the NDAA as well and co-sponsored Rand's hemp bill.

Only 6 other Senators joined Rand in voting against the nefarious 2012 NDAA. Included in that six were both Oregon Senators, Merkely and Wyden. Plus Harkin, Sanders, Coburn, and Lee.

Watch them say we need FISA and more surveillance to prevent mass killings.
