I really don't like Allen West, but I'm not sure about Patrick Murphy. He says he is a conservative and wants to reduce spending and debt, but supported the stimulus and bailouts. I did find it interesting that during their debate, Murphy actually brought up QE himself, saying he doesn't want another round of QE.

West is good on some stuff. I couldn't see him voting for TARP, for example. But he is terrible on foreign policy etc. And he plays that as his theme.

Hes fine either way. If he stays then neocons can question their beliefs after we counteract his silly statements. If he goes then we wont have to put up with his blood fetish anymore. I think hes doing a wonderful job at making neocons look bad.

The problem is the tea party loves him even with his neocon beliefs. He's raised over $16 million in the last two years and that's just for a House seat. The others, like McCain and Graham, don't have the same enthusiasm behind them.

The tea party really needs to rally behind someone who's not so hawkish and it would help if Allen West was no longer in Congress.
