TSA said the decision was made to speed up security at busy airports.

Yea it has nothing to do with liberty or privacy why does that not surprise me?

Just you wait and see,

In a few years, suburban bus stops, schools and shopping malls will all start to inherit today's new "automated cartoon-porn scanners" after the next "brand spanking new porno scanner" generation gets purchased and installed at these major airports.

Yea, they'll find another use for the scanners that are being removed. In the meantime, they'll probably just go to a different airport. Eventually, they'll trickle down to everything else (bus stops, schools, malls, like you said).

and shipping them to less busy locations.

Great. I've been paying a premium to avoid those things and going through little six gate municipal airports. Looks like my air travel days are numbered.

This thread/article is mis-titled. The correct title would be "TSA to expand scanners by shipping the naked body scanners to smaller airports and putting the new improved 'Gumby' scanners in the busy airports". This is sadly just an expansion of the assault on liberty. Those of us who have been literally "flying under the radar" and avoiding the scanners by using websites like http://tsastatus.net will likely have fewer options in the near future. :( And since the major airports will have the "Gumby scanners" people will be less likely to complain.

More "exposure", more skin cancer. What's not to love here?
