Hey everyone,

I just found this nice article introducing a new service that can help you protect your privacy during phone calls, texting, emailing and video calling.. The tech behind it looks sound and since we all know we're being spied on for political reasons I thought it'd be a good idea if I made you aware of this option of how to protect yourself.

It's a new service, yet not properly peer reviewed, so be cautious but like I said from the looks of it on the surface it seems sound.

Why Is The Government Afraid Of This iPhone App?

Two Navy SEALs are bringing world-class encryption to the iPhone, for everything from state secrets to celebrity selfies. But that means it can be used by criminals as well.

The first rule, former Navy SEAL Mike Janke tells me, is that you have to assume the worst: "Everything you do and say — email, text, phone — is monitored on some level."

He's talking about paramilitary operations — spy stuff — but it applies just as much to a gossipy text message. A Wi-Fi sniffer can pluck emails right out of the air. It rarely occurs to us as we blast out emoji, but for security professionals — a military contractor carrying sensitive information through a hotel in Hong Kong, for instance — that paranoia is a way of life.

I wont argue $20/month isn't steep, but on the other hand, what's $20/month vs ending up in Guantanamo. So I guess you got to weigh the risks and see if it's worth the price.

I have a real hard time believing that for $20.00 anyone can keep the monstrosity of "our government" from finding out any info they want.

It's possible to do for free. Here's an example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silk_Road_%28marketplace%29

At least someone is trying. Probably wont be long till these guys have the NSA confiscating their servers because one of their users is accused of some victimless crime.
