Southern Baptists don't seem to be represented much in the letter.

"The breach is all the more bitter because it involves Jewish groups known for cultivating strong interfaith relationships, including the Reform and Conservative movements, the American Jewish Committee and B’nai B’rith International."

Have these people ever looked into the history of B'nai B'rith? They are only interested in cultivating wine gardens over dead Gentiles.

How many votes did the Senate bill get to end aid to Pakistan ? 11 ? To me that just means there will be no Senate votes to cut any spending .....

Since most foreign aid isn't used in any "Christian values" kind of way, they should be for eliminating all of it. Of course, if they focused on say Pakistan, or Egypt, it would never find its way to the NY Times.

Then we must infiltrate the Southern Baptists and change them from the inside out!

Just kidding of course. :D

lol. Southern Baptists are quite self sufficient and mind their own business in my experience, as long as they aren't trying to convert you.

“We asked Congress to treat Israel like it would any other country,” said the Rev. Gradye Parsons, the top official of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), “to make sure our military aid is going to a country espousing the values we would as Americans — that it’s not being used to continually violate the human rights of other people.”

They said with a straight face.

Oh my. This is an interesting turn of events.

This isn't a "turn". This is business as usual.

The "mainline" Christian leadership has been supporting Palestinian rights and divestment from Israel for a while now. The rank and file are indifferent.

It's the "evangelical" Christians that support Israel.

That hasn't changed.
