Depends. Does the shooter have conservative views? Can he somehow be related or connected with the tea party?

If so, then yes.

We don't know the shooters political affiliation or even his motives.

Seven people getting shot at a mall is big news, unless you can name something else big that happened in Wisconsin today?

To me... things are often big news or not big news for a purpose. I haven't heard anything on the news about a 7,000 ft mushroom cloud in Louisiana. Did that not happen?

Fukishima... not happening? No news on how to lessen your radiation exposure? What about food coming from that region? News or not news?

BP Gulf disaster? All over? Or should news be about how to lessen your exposure to those toxins in your seafood?

State department says... "blah blah." That's big news, no matter how big the lie. How many people did they kill today? I bet it was more than 7. How many people have they killed this year? This month? More than 7? More than 700?

It's still "big" enough news here in SE Wisconsin. They have the main networks local news doing 100% coverage of the incident and not playing the NFL games, except when the Packers were playing which they only dedicated commercials to the news. Yes, Packers are that important.

On serious note: 3 people dead. suspect is known, however he is still loose. His car found in another city.

edit: Shooter killed himself in the salon where the shootings happened.

Doubt we'll be hearing much more about this. Suspect doesn't fit the angry conservative white guy narrative.

I agree with you that there has been way too many CIA/Pentagon interference with the press. But compare the American press to the world and we still have a relatively free press, though yes it is compromised, as is everything that the Fed. government gets its hands on.

But I don't think this mass shooting falls under that category. Just sounds to me like shoot the messenger syndrome in this case.

Online court records showed that Haughton "was not allowed to have firearms and was directed to deliver firearms to the sheriff," the Journal Sentinel said. "The order does not indicate if that happened."

Another glaring incident of a docile non armed society of herd-able sheep. The police state promotes self defense as the worst thing a person could do; that much better for them to rob or kill you themselves.

The police have convinced most of the population in their "super powers". Too bad thier real superhuman powers are in drawing chalk lines and taking photographs of deceased customers that believed the big blue lie.

Who Is Radcliffe Haughton, the Brookfield Shooting Suspect?

http://brookfield-wi.patch.com/articles/who-is-radcliffe-haughton-the-brookfield-shooting-suspect

Radcliffe Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer is the suspect in the October 21 shooting at Azana Spa in Brookfield, WI.

Radcliffe Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer is the suspect in the October 21 shooting at Azana Spa in Brookfield, WI. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Today's TMJ4 are reporting that Haughton was found dead inside the spa of self-inflicted wounds.

Estranged Husband

Patch has learned the man wanted by police is apparently the estranged husband of one of the hair stylists at the spa.

A spa employee told Patch the hair stylist has been having problems since she left her husband. The man is believed to have slashed car tires in the parking lot of the spa and the business recently put up signs on most of its doors warning employees to keep them locked at all times.

The employee who spoke to Patch said the woman's estranged husband was out of work and his wife was working every day to bring in money to pay the bills. However, she recently decided to leave him, and that's when the problems started.

Online records suggest Haughton owed "concours motors" via a bank nearly $20,000 in 2006.

A delinquent tax warrant for $5,190.88 was also filed against Haughton on June 18, 2009, according to online court records. "Zina Haughton" is also listed as a defendant in the civil case. A "full satisfaction" judgment status was issued June 12, 2012. The case status is listed as "filed only."

Restraining Order, Home for Sale

On Oct. 8 of this year, a temporary restraining order was issued againt Haughton. Haughton was also charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in 2011. Those charges, however, were dismissed.

A Brown Deer home is posted for sale online with "Radcliffe Haughton" listed as the seller. The "single family" home has a 53223 zip code, which matches the address listed for Haughton in online court records. The asking price is $245,000.

Haughton's Online Identity

There is a Google Plus account under Haughton's name featuring a picture of someone who resembles Haughton holding a gun-like object toward the camera.

A LinkedIn account for a man with the same name in "the Greater Milwaukee area" lists Haughton as "Owner at Haughton International Corporations."

There are about 10,000 drunk driving fatalities every year.
There are about 10,000 handgun deaths per year.
There are about 2,000 stabbing DEATHS per year.

Your stats only help make my point.

Newsworthy stories are out of the ordinary, a guy doesn't shoot 7 people in a salon everyday or it just simply wouldn't be news.

Now I do see the point you were trying to make and I agree and appreciate the statistics. There is a hidden agenda liberal journalists have which is spreading the gun control agenda.

Now if a guy stabs 7 people tomorrow and it doesn't get the same coverage as this story, I would be very skeptical and call BS just like you have.

What if a guy drones 7 people tomorrow and it gets no coverage?
