7000ft MUSHROOM CLOUD: Camp Minden, LA

Camp Minden's Monday night explosions and 7000 feet mushroom cloud, but Hazardous Materials Unit in Baton Rouge and others investigating could take months before determining the cause,

"The first thing I saw was the sky light up in the west," eyewitness Billy Edwards said. "It just lit up.
"Then, it lit up again and then we heard the loud boom. It was like a sunset, it was so bright."

This is supposedly being tied to the sinkhole going on in Assumption Parish. Look it up.

Methane hydrates that have unfrozen are permeating the land down there. They called it a "bunker explosion", but won't let anyone(including firefighters) get near the place.

I dunno. I'm thinking, though, that a methane explosion would be pretty potent.

Interesting that there was conveniently a train there, with apparently no one aboard, to be blown off the tracks.



Multiple witnesses apparently reported that they saw something falling down from the sky towards the earth before the mushroom cloud was created.

Ah, no one on board. I had thought perhaps a spark from the tracks may have set off the methane.
