Green Party and Libertarian Presidential Candidates Go Head-to-Head in First Ever Online Debate

If you want to see third- and fourth-party presidential candidates broadening the spectrum of political discourse this week, then definitely check out the Green Party's Jill Stein and the Libertarians' candidate, and former governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson go head-to-head, virtually, in what organizers are billing as the first ever online presidential debate.

The debate by IVN.us (The Independent Voters Network), working with Google+ Politics, will be unlike debates in the past in that "the candidates and moderators will simultaneously participate from different states" with the candidates appearing responding to question submitted online and from one another.

As far as topics go, the debate will focus on: 1) Tax and economic policy, 2) Energy, 3) Housing and financial regulation, 4) Foreign policy, 5) another topic to be determined by online user response.

The debate can be viewed live on October 18th, 7pm ET/4pm PT on IVN.us, Google+ or YouTube.
