The more I study this earnings gap, the more I realize it doesn't exist when you compare apples to apples. Excellent points by the doctor, the woman just throws out numbers but sometimes you have to dig a little deeper than those numbers.

Good post Frank.

I've always argued this to be true, especially marriage which is a huge interruption in work force experience. Another point I always bring up is men are more likely to own small businesses and small business owner is the most popular way to become a millionaire. Perhaps men are more prone to risk taking? But I never believed the marketplace itself was discriminatory.

But it seems like a great deal of people would rather believe that they are being oppressed, as if it would explain and condone their life's short falls. This is their motivating factor, not fact.

Men are also more likely to be motivated by making money, hence their business policy will be designed to maximize profits.

I cannot wait to see feminism exposed globally for the sexist hate movement that it is.

It's funny how the left makes fun of the right for being 'anti-science' yet turn around and promate things like communism, socialism, and 'equality for all' when these things do not exist in nature.

that was good stuff.

how do people think that "women get paid less for the same positions" in a literal sense? Haven't they ever worked for anyone? Why would an employer hire men?

I've read a lot of Sowell's commentaries, I've always agreed with 99% of them,
this one of course is spot on.
Liberals like to lump everything into one pot and view professions and experience
levels in a way that wages should pretty much be the same across the board
for men and women based on the presumption that women should earn the same as men
even where their experience and performance don't warrant it.
William Buckely , sitting next to Sowell was awesome to listen to as well,
you couldn't see that here but he had a series of debates and discussions that were great.

This clip was from the 1970s. Now, in 2019, we have marches of millions of women who still believe this stuff. Good ideas don't win debates.
