The gloablist, new world order pet project, the 27-nation European Union has been awarded the 2012 peace prize by Norwegian Nobel Committee.

This award is given to the EU as its inner core, the eurozone, is near financial collapse and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, on a recent trip to Greece, was met by thousands of Greek protesters, some dressed in Nazi uniforms.

Only money printing by the European Central Bank will "save" the eurozone, which would lead to soaring price inflation and civil unrest.

Bottom line: The Nobel awards are becoming more and more bankster propaganda tools.

Tell me again how legitimacy will return to this sham of an award? Bueller? Anyone?

So the prize continues to be a joke. Well, that was certainly one way for them to go....

Hilarious!

Europe is SERIOUSLY bankrupt
http://voxday.blogspot.com/2012/10/europe-is-seriously-bankrupt.html

This award by the Nobel committee strikes me as the equivalent of desperately rooting through the couch, searching for change to pay the repo man:
[...]
The Peace Prize has always been about mindless optimism. But it used to concern itself with actual deeds and accomplishments. Now, with the recent awards to President Barack "Seven Wars" Obama and the Euzis of the European Union, it looks more like the triumph of deranged wishful thinking than anything else. And it does tend to confirm the opinion of long-time EU skeptics who always believed the purpose of the Union was to leash the German military rather than build a common market.

I found this to be the most cogent take on the absurdity:

"Giving the EU a peace prize is at best premature, like knighting Sir Fred Goodwin in the middle of the mad boom. We have no idea how the experiment to create an anti-democratic federation will end. Hopefully the answer is very peacefully, but when Greek protesters are wearing Nazi uniforms, and Spanish youth unemployment is running at 50 per cent, a look at history suggests there is always the possibility of a bumpy landing.

Daftest of all is the notion that the EU itself has kept the peace. It was the Allies led by the Americans, the Russians and the British who defeated and disarmed the Germans in 1945. The German people then underwent the most extraordinary reckoning, transforming their country into an essentially pacifist society. The EU had very little to do with it. Throughout that period it was Nato, led by the Americans and British, which kept the peace in Western Europe."

As if giving it to Obama didn't do that enough.

Nobel Prize to EU Damages the Brand Name
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/123003.html

Building up a brand means producing a product or service in demand and getting recognition of it in people's minds so that they use it and are satisfied with it. Brand names frequently are abased by lowering the worth of the product or service. That's what's happened with the Peace Prize going to the EU. The EU has imposed stiff sanctions on Iran that are the opposite of peaceful. They harm both peaceful Europeans and Iranians who wish to trade. Sanctions should be recognized as violent and aggressive state-imposed measures that harm both the people of the sanctioning states and the sanctioned states. It is war made on both peoples. So, whatever branding the Nobel Peace prize had, it has surely been diminished by this award.

"On 23 January 2012, the Council of the European Union released a report in which it restated its concerns about the growth and nature of Iran's nuclear programme. As a result, the Council announced that it would levy an embargo on Iranian oil exports. Further, it stated that it would also freeze assets held by the Central Bank of Iran and forestall the trading of precious metals and petrochemicals to and from the country."

These sanctions are causing great harm and loss of life in Iran.

Maybe it was intended as economic stimulus to help the struggling European economies? Let's see. 27 nations, $1 million dollars. $37 thousand a country. How many jobs could we create with that? Hmm. Maybe we need more prizes for the EU. The medal could be entrusted to whomever is the rotating leader of the EU.

The EU is incredibly close to devolving into a monstrous war.

Its like they give the peace prize out with the notation "This is the last peace you will see"

They can't afford a war.

It will most likely break down into two separate "euros." One for the northern semi-responsible countries and a worthless one for Spain, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, and potentially Italy.

They won't have much of a choice. Although if/when the euro zone collapses I can see Ireland moving to much closer ties to the UK and perhaps pegging their currency to the pound sterling.

The only sure thing about another European war is that Fran and England need to be on the same side or stay out.

All it would take is for a few of the Pigs leaders to blame Germany for bankrupting them, and then to claim that Germany owes them something.

There about a thousand other ways it could unravel overnight as well.

So we can assume that the EU will be bombing other countries soon? Just following Obama's example of course.

WAR IS PEACE!

Obama won a Peace Prize and escalated war in Afghanistan.

Now EU wins a peace prize admist economics recessions, riots in EU nations, and while EU nations wage war?
