Yep, Who would have thought that letting the banks fail, cutting spending and raising interest rates would have led to a faster recovery.

I think Iceland started standing up to the banks over a year ago. Alex Jones broke the story I think.

Krugman, for all his faults, was against TARP.

There was something mentioned about nationalizing the banks. Maybe Krugman would go for that?

Yeah, but wasn't it because it didn't go "far enough"? I don't think he was against the idea, just the amount of the bailout. He thought it should have been bigger. Either way, titanic meet deck chairs.
