Hello all.

I'm posting this in a sincere hope for answers. I'm still really undecided on my vote. (I've decided that I don't like Romney or Obama, but that's it). I'm not writing in Ron Paul. Sorry, but I don't buy the "They'll count the difference in voting for president versus total votes" argument. They who? Last time I saw the third party candidates at least get a mention. I saw no analysis of "Well there were x number of votes not cast for president at all" or "there were y write ins that we don't know who got them" answer. That said, I'm not sold on Gary Johnson either. That he would buy into the "Let's go to war for the sake of the invisible children" point of view bothers me. That and I'm not pro choice. (Yeah, he's only "personally pro choice" and I'm not sure what that means.) For those who plan to write in Ron Paul or who are sold on Gary Johnson, more power to you!

So that leaves me with Virgil Goode. (I don't think Chuck Baldwin is on the ballot in TN, or else this would be easy). What about him? He voted for the Iraq war, but now he seems to have had a change of heart. (See: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/item/11767-virgil-goode-constitution-party-candidate-for-president) Is there anything else to know about him?

Doesn't matter in California, he isn't on the Ballot.

Drake, I personally know Virgil. I met him in '07 when I helped organize a rally in DC when Bush was trying to get Congress to pass amnesty. (who knew that Obama would just write an executive order 5 years later?) Anyway, I invited him to speak at it regarding that, and a resolution he wrote (which Ron co-sponsored) on the NAU found here: (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:H.CON.RES.40:) He was one of the few in Congress at the time speaking out against the NAFTA superhighway and the Security and Prosperity Partnership aka NAU.

We've stayed in touch, recently spoke to him. I really like him. Although he's not Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin, he's definitely not part of the establishment either. Here's a clip of his speech at the event in '07. (he thanks me a couple minutes into it, :o)

He was my rep in my district before he lost in 08'. I think he passes the sniff test. He says he's for illiminating all foreign aid and auditing the fed.

Okay. That's good. He's on my short list then. You guys make him sound trustworthy, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on his change of heart on Iraq. Hopefully he's got ballot access in Tennessee.
