Many already know Art Robinson and Barry Hinkley as Ron Paul type Republicans but Ted Yoho is a pleasant surprise since he is a lock to win the general election.

Ted Yoho was discussed earlier in this thread:
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?388385-Rising-Star-Ted-Yoho-Republican-with-Libertarian-Slant

In addition to the many positions laid out in the thread above, YAL's candidate profile says Ted is against the federal war on drugs.

This guy deserves a lot of attention from the liberty movement since he will be a Congressman and he is on record of supporting many liberty issues (while many liberty candidates are afraid to espouse on certain issues until after they get elected).

Yeah, we need to get more news on Ted Yoho, I keep thinking about how he snuck under our radar, and how that happened. Isn't there anyone in his district that was working for him?

Either way, I think we need a sub-forum for him, just to keep track of him and what is going on, since he is one of us, and we may need to help him out financially and/or ground support. He needs more awareness in here and tracking of his votes once he is in, to see how he is doing. Would be great if every U.S. house rep posted their votes on facebook or something like Amash and Bentivolio said he would be doing too.

The District: Ted Yoho faced an uphill battle during his primary election when he faced and defeated 12-term Republican incumbent, Cliff Stearns. Sabato's Crystal Ball has rated Florida's Third Congressional District as strongly Republican and polls indicate Yoho has a large advantage over his Democratic challenger.
Wow, that's like if Kerry actually primaried McCotter and won. Wonder how this happened to an incumbent and none of us had a clue. Pretty epic of this guy to pull that off w/o the outside help of us. Allies coming out of no where is good, I love surprises!!!

Hinckley is down by 24 points according to the RCP average.

Anyone have any polling on the Art Robinson and Ted Yoho races?

I read somewhere that a lot of people in that district knew him and liked him because he was the only vet within a certain distance. Supposedly, vets in rural areas are very popular people.

I still can't get over it, I was just telling someone about this race, beating a 12 term congressman. 24 freakin years that guy was in office. Thats almost unheard of. That would have been one hell of a party going on for him and his supporters... maybe someone has some video somewhere of this

Yoho is a lock. Robinson is a maybe, but I have a gut feeling he has the momentum this year. Hinckley has no chance.

Hinckley would probably be the best Senator in the last 40 years. Too bad.
