"St. Barack Obama, Patron Saint of Predatory Capitalism."

no.no.no....

O is a Marxist Socialist Collectivist™......haven't you heard?

(sarc off)

All the Rightists on ZH are as easily bamboozled as any Liberallz™ in thrall to the "black dude", by the ancient Red Menace rhetoric of the Right.

Pa-thet-ic.

Anyone else with half a brain can see he's just another pre-packaged bagman for the CorpoRAT elite... just like Bush before him...

The genius of the amerikan oligarchy was in pre-selecting a NEGRO to ocuppy the white house this time.

daz razist... he not a negro, he be a mulato

.. particularly when he needs the white vote.

"St. Barack Obama, Patron Saint of Predatory Capitalism."

The pig-elite actually refers to him only as "the help".

Yeah... 'So here's the role you're gonna play, O. Any questions? As the Zapruder film rolls...

Bullshit they refer to him as Godfather the few fine's he has gotten from a few of them was just a reminder of who really is in charge. Anyone who tries to make trouble for the Banks or puts a damper on his spending he persecutes like Egan his administration is going after Egan-Jones the only ratings agency that isn't paid by the banks again. Obama's been working hand in hand with the banks since he was a nothing junior senator. His populist rhetoric was a joke. Some liberal's knew and warned about him (below) but they were drowned out.

" Two months into his presidency, Obama summoned the titans of finance to the White House, where he told them, "My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks."

The bankers may have found the president's tone unsettling. Candidate Obama had been their guy, accepting vast amounts of Wall Street campaign money for his victories over Hillary Clinton and John McCain (Goldman Sachs executives ponied up $1 million, more than any other private source of funding in 2008). Obama far outraised his Republican rival, John McCain, on Wall Street--around $16 million to $9 million. As it turned out, Obama apparently actually meant what he said at that White House meeting--his administration effectively would stand between Big Finance and anything like a severe accounting.

What was this bill? The act would have done the following:

(1) in lieu of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an independent Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Agency which shall have authority over the Federal Home Loan Bank Finance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Banks, the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac); and (2) the Federal Housing Enterprise Board.

Sets forth operating, administrative, and regulatory provisions of the Agency, including provisions respecting: (1) assessment authority; (2) authority to limit nonmission-related assets; (3) minimum and critical capital levels; (4) risk-based capital test; (5) capital classifications and undercapitalized enterprises; (6) enforcement actions and penalties; (7) golden parachutes; and (8) reporting.

It never made it out of committee. Chris Dodd, then the ranking member of the Banking Committee and now its chair, was in the middle of receiving preferential loan treatment from Countrywide Mortgage, one of the companies gaming the system in the credit crisis. Meanwhile, Barack Obama took hundreds of thousands of dollars from the lobbyists McCain mentions in this speech, making him the #2 recipient of Fannie/Freddie money
