Sure there are plenty of warning signs type articles around, talking about Romney's difficulties. But this is the first I've come across where someone just lays it out, and says it's hopeless ... in an "I dare the future to prove me wrong" kind of way.

Usually the media sticks to the script. TV, print, radio, are in competition for an audience ... but they cooperate in sustaining the "horse race" mentality. You need to stay tuned in, so they can sell more advertising...

Cenk is sticking his head out a bit to wave that artifice away. He's saying even the debates don't matter. It's over. We're just watching this cake bake.

If Romney does not come out STRONG from the first debate, I think the next stage will be indications that the RNC is giving up on him, shifting money to salvage Congressional and Senate races.
