Reading a history book, thought yall would like to hear this:

"Glassboro's 1929 ratio was 1 police officer for every 1,024 residents... There is little doubt that Glassboro's law enforcing officers of the early 20th century needed all the modern equipment the town fathers were willing to give them, for they were busy men, keeping close watch on the usual kinds of would be law violators--gamblers, breakers of the Sabbath, robbers, and teenagers roaming the streets on Hallowe'en night.

Modern day: I hear a siren every night!

Police State = Progress?

I yearn for an earlier time. Where people were more for church, god, family, good life.
