These people don't believe in any religion, they worship power and as a result sometimes join religions in other to achieve that goal. I don't think Obama regularly attended Jeremiah Wright's church, he probably figured out that being part of the black church in Chicago was very beneficial to his political aspiration and so that is what he did.
