Fishman seems pretty strong. Thinking he'll get my vote.....

What's a libertarian analysis of question 2? I feel like I support the right for someone to be able to commit suicide if they wish, however, I think with the passing of Obamacare this feels weird to me. A slippery slope feel. NO

Republicans:
Karin Rhoton for State Rep 14th Essex District
Jim Lyons for State Rep 18th Essex District
Paul Adams for State Senate 2nd Essex and Middlesex District

Beat me to it! A few others too:
Steven Levy for State Rep 4th Middlesex District
Ryan Fattman for State Rep 18th Worcester District

Not all RP supporters necessarily, but very staunch fiscal conservatives. If anyone knows of others, feel free to add to this.

I think Karin Rhoton is the only one of the bunch that isn't a 3-star.

I think Karin Rhoton is the only one of the bunch that isn't a 3-star.

She's the only non-incumbent, so no voting record to work with, but having worked closely with her campaign she's cut from the same cloth. Lyons is a solid 4-star, easily the most conservative member of the Mass. legislature.

As much as I'd like to see bona fide libertarians with a chance to win, there are so many RINOs in this state that I will happily take someone who is a rock-solid conservative.

I'm not sure what you mean by "4-star" if the guy endorsed Romney... being fiscally conservative isn't enough, and I'm not sure why you didn't mention your candidates are all incumbents except Rhoton. We KNOW there are no liberty candidates elected in Mass, so your candidates are not pro-liberty.

I couldn't care less about endorsements, does Rand Paul lose stars for endorsing Romney? Lyons has the lowest percentage of voting with Republican leadership, and it's definitely not because he's siding with Democrats. Fiscally conservative isn't enough? He's a state rep, it's not like he's gonna be sending troops to Iran. In Massachusetts, I will take Jim DeMint-style Republicans in a heartbeat.

You're from California anyway, why are you pretending to know Massachusetts politics?

Rand Paul is a Senator, he had no choice but to endorse Romney.

I'm from America. I follow all states' politics. I was unaware your candidates endorsed Romney - not in the general election, but in the primary. That means they actually support Romney, so f--- them.

I'm from America as well, and I follow politics at least as closely as you do, and I would never pretend to know anywhere near as much about local California races as you, since you actually live there. You seem to be a staunch LP guy and more of a left-leaning libertarian, which is completely fine, but no need to pick a fight over the candidates I support just because they aren't up your alley.

In my opinion, the biggest victory (and one of the only) of the night was Jim Lyons, who easily has the most fiscally conservative voting record in the Massachusetts legislature. He won a squeaker against the former chair of the Ways and Means Committee, a serial tax-and-spender who he unseated 2 years ago. I'm not sure why he isn't on the MLC endorsement list, but seeing as he has hosted Mass Liberty events at his house, as far as I'm concerned he's endorsed by them.

An example of some of the work he has been doing:
http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/view/20220614118m_dip_into_health_pool_ripped_illegals_ others_use_funds/srvc=home&position=5

Otherwise, not a great night for the Republicans in this state. The Mass GOP needs to take a serious look at itself and start presenting a different face, otherwise it will essentially become non-existant.

Sorry. I don't live in MA, I will try to remember to add him to the list when I get back home from the SFL Philly Conference. That means 4 out of 18 candidates won!
