Just kidding. Feel free to post any real articles about cops doing something good.

Crickets, you say?

(P.S. Sorry, normally I wouldn't post a B.S. thread like this, but I've read too many cop rapes girl, cop executes prisoner, and cop shoots dog stories today.)

How about acknowledging the cops who actually obey their oaths? Those who don't see or smell anything that may be considered a victimless crime?

WINDHOEK, Namibia

I don't even know where the fuck that is.

And I don't even know why someone who bothers to pick up a discarded infant out of a pit really deserves any praise.
Congratulations, you acted like a human being and did something completely normal and pretty much expected for two minutes of your day!

There are some good cops around. I have been very fortunate to meet a few who were respectful and could have been an asshole if they had wanted to.

I wasn't too surprised when I read that.

The Chief of Police, Louis Dogood, stressed that in this type of situation the officer acted within departmental procedures.

"The drone strike was called in to nullify a very serious threat to our community. Though we regret the casualties caused under friendly fire, in situations like this, we don't know what we are up against. At then end of the day the thing that is paramount is that the officer makes it home to his family. His wife. His children. His children...his children..his...."

the police probably would wait and delay stopping the shooting spree so more people die... so the incident would become more deadly and people can blame the 2nd amemdment.

Kind of like the Columbine shooting.

Even if they do a "good" act one and awhile, they are still funded by theft, so can they really be good?

That's understandable. We haven't bombed them yet. Then you won't be able to forget.

Well... nonetheless, good thing the cop didn't take that attitude towards babies ?!?

reported this week that 40 fetuses and newborns are dumped each month

“If half an onion is black with rot, it is a rotten onion. A man is good or he is evil."

That is a horrendous analogy. Everyone has a little bit of evil in them, and that doesn't even take into account the ambiguous nature of the word "evil." People with different moral standards will define it differently. Almost everyone would agree that they have done something morally wrong in their entire lifetime, so are they then spoiled with evil?

Well... kind of. I'm sure we had a hand in the Angolan Bush War. I gotta bet US was covertly sending military aid to South Africa in one form or another. The creation of Namibia is something I haven't wrapped my mind around... but its certainly looks like a puppet democracy born of cold war era covert military actions. Diamonds, copper, lead, uranium, lithium....

What, did he shoot a police story's dog or something? lol

I would also personally like to see more positive cop stories. The typical police stories drive me nuts.
