Poll: Mitt Romney's No Street Fighter

Mitt Romney’s bad week isn’t getting any better: New polls have found that not only are more key swing state voters planning to vote for President Obama, but Americans also think the president could take the GOP candidate in a fistfight.

Our Kristen A. Lee reports:

The more traditional poll found Obama leading Romney among likely voters in three crucial swing states. Obama is ahead by five points in Florida and Virginia, and by seven points in Ohio, the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist state polls found.

Meanwhile, a separate poll by Esquire and Yahoo! News asked more than 1,000 voters which of the two candidates would win if the campaign came down to a fistfight.

In that poll too, Obama came out on top.

Fifty-eight percent said the president would take Romney in a brawl, while just 22% thought Romney could scrap out a win against Obama.

A less imaginative 20% said they had no opinion about the candidates’ street fighting skills.

Less imaginative? Or more sane?

There should have been more than twenty percent that found that unfunny and unworthy of a response.

No matter how many times I run this (http://www.270towin.com/simulation/) simulation, its ending up for the DO'bamey wins and the RObammey loses at this point.

I doubt Romney has ever been in a fight.

He probably just hired someone to do his fighting for him.

So I'd bet on Obama over Romney in a fist fight.

Beat me to it. Welcome to reality TV culture.

At least about 1 in 5 seem not to have been sucked in by it - yet.

Great, yet another sign that there will be absolutely no discussion of real issues this election cycle.

No way Michigan goes red. (-16; 269, 269 tie)

Wisconsin will probably go blue. (+10; Obama wins)

Waiting for that October surprise, but it'll be tough for Roms to win this November.

Depends on your definision of a fight. I have no doubt that he had some kids hold other kids down while he kicked them stupid.

I actually think that with no training, Ron Paul could out marathon Obama.

DOIT!

I would normally agree, but I checked the 2008 General Election and even though Obama won, McCain was using vote flipping to get votes.

The election is closer this year. They will most likely use vote flipping in the 2012 General and that may swing it for Romney in Michigan and lots of other places.

I mean really, who should give a crap about such a thing? Sounds like the same kind of stupidity one would find out behind a middle school.
