An Arabic speaker who loved Libya and understood it deeply, Stevens died along with three other Americans when an angry mob stormed the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

looks to me he didnt understand it "deeply" enough..

Obama strongly condemned the attack, which he called "outrageous."

Outrageous? You kick someone in the gut, and its outrageous when they hit you back?

The consulate was one of several American diplomatic missions in the Middle East to face protests Tuesday after the release online of a film mocking Islam and depicting the Muslim prophet Mohammed as a child molester, womanizer and ruthless killer.

Blowback.

But a London think tank with strong ties to Libya speculated Wednesday that Stevens was actually the victim of a targeted al Qaeda revenge attack.

About 50 U.S. Marines from a rapid reaction force headed to Libya after the attack, U.S. officials said Wednesday.

I bet Obama's team is loving the fact that the attention is turning away from economic issues.

Nobody wants more war. If Obama can pretend to be less hawkish than Romney, it may gain him a point or two. If he can keep talking about foreign policy instead of the economy, he'll gain a whole lot more.

I condemn these barbaric acts in the strongest possible terms. This is an attack on America, Libya and free people everywhere.

Collectivism.

Possibly.

The attack "came to avenge the death of Abu Yaya al-Libi, al Qaeda's second in command killed a few months ago," the think tank Quilliam said Wednesday.

I'm quite aware of the goverment narrative. The U.S. brought these zealots into Libya so they could go on a savage crusade to fulfill their purist fantasties, which includes killing over a silly film.

IMO the silly film is a side show to prevent Americans from seeing how the Libyan people are upset about how we brought war to their country. Maybe a few people could be this enraged over the film alone. But the majority are just following them to get their retribution on the US. IMO the target was the ambassador and they got him, the powers that be do not want the public thinking the attackers had a goal and achieved it.

But most of all, the film is to cover up the fact that this is blowback. they hate us for our freedom to make these films, they are not retaliating against us for what we do to them. If we came home and minded our own business they would follow us. Thats the narrative that is being broadcast on Fox. all they are talking about is that stupid video.

And when they fail we will have to up the forces. Goodbye Afganistan/Iraq, hello Libya/Egypt. I really hope I'm wrong.

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate
Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone
Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle
For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls
Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war
You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion
We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world
The dogs of war won't negotiate
The dogs of war don't capitulate,
They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live
You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before
Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain.
One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down
One world ... One world

Americans and most of the world forget, there have been shootings, bombings, IEDs, and a failed assassignation attempt on the Libyan NTC puppet this year alone. It's mostly all masked by Fascist Corporate Media.
