This is why we need to stop all this write in Ron Paul when Gary Johnson is making tremendous noise right now.

They should have just asked "would you vote for Obama or <insert name here>.

I hope that gets him into the debates. It would be nice for Americans to see that there is an alternative to the status quo.

Latest Nationwide Poll Has Gary Johnson At 24%

Without Romney. "other" still beats GJ in this unlikely unrealistic scenario with 27%.

I'm voting GJ, but know he will be lucky to get 2%

I have very limited support for Gary Johnson, but Holy Shit would I love to have him over Obama and Romney. However, I don't see how this poll suggests an actual 24% since Romney was not named. Or am I reading it wrong?

I'm voting GJ as well ... will be a very long time before I pull a lever for another GOP or DNC robot.

Wow that is a riduculous and meaningless poll.
“Suppose in this year’s Presidential Election you had a choice of Libertarian Gary Johnson or Democrat Barack Obama. If the election were held today would you vote for Libertarian Gary Johnson or Democrat Barack Obama?”
24% Johnson
45% Obama
27% Some other candidate
3% Not sure
(Poll conducted by Libertarian Action Super PAC)

No, people like to twist his words. He said congress voting on a humanitarian war would be Constitutional. It is. People mistake that for wanting to start new wars with a blank check  Some people are forgetting congress has the authority to declare war.

Really? Johnson wants a war in Uganda?

This is the most misleading poll--and subsequently thread title--I've ever seen. Stupid shit. If there was ever a use for moderators it's here.

Hey, if they can use polls like this and twist things around to get him into debates I am all for a "stupid, meaningless poll" like this.

fuck libertarians.

You, I would vote for.

In fact, name an L candidate for any office on my ballot EXCEPT the Presidential election, and just for you, I will vote for him or her.

The Presidential race is personally important to me.

When the LASPAC conducted this poll it was done in an attempt to show that Gary Johnson can achieve over 15% in a Nat'l poll, as that was a requirement to getting into the debates. Furthermore, most pollsters only poll Romney and Obama, so the idea was this should totally be legitimate.

It was a sneakily creative way to do it and, unfortunately for Johnson, a useless one as well.
