WOW! I had no idea that many State Rep's from NH endorsed Ron!

It was 33 State Reps and 3 State Senates = 40% of total endorsements of Ron Paul nationally by legislators.
Though, NH has 400 State Reps.

A win of that size is unexpected. However, 2 former YAL workers were on Andy's team. 1 of them actually ran Senator Jim Forsythe's campaign. In fact, that awesome campaign manager even posts here :)

IMO, if Andy wins in Nov, it will prove that he is able to win in around 20 towns in NH. He should think about higher office like Executive Council or Congress. Or, if Ovide loses in Nov, governor.

Sandblade, Gamache up for Ward 11 alderman job
By TED SIEFER
http://www.unionleader.com/article/20120911/NEWS06/709129967

MANCHESTER — Emily Sandblade and Normand Gamache will face off in November for the Ward 11 alderman seat vacated by Russell Ouellette.

They were the top vote-getters in the primary election on Tuesday, beating the other two candidates, Eric Fischer and Armand Forest.

Gamache received 330 votes, Sandblade 247, Fischer 201 and Forest 107.
...
Sandblade and Gamache will offer voters in November a stark contrast.
...
Sandblade is known as a small-government Republican and strong backer of the city's tax cap. Gamache is a retired city fire chief, part of a family with four generations that have served in the fire department.
...
Sandblade ran for the Ward 11 seat in 2011, and was the runner up behind Ouellette. Fischer also ran in that race.

The special election for the seat was called after Ouellette resigned in July. He later pleaded guilty to assault charges stemming from a late-night encounter with a woman.

Here is an article about the Andy Sanborn victory.

What's the Executive Council?

According to New Hampshire's website, it is essentially an arm of the Governor but since it is another entity entirely, it serves as a sort of check on Executive power.

It looks as if we only lost a few races, so our incumbents had a success rate in the 90th percentile or higher. The most important races we did well in. The problem with the U.S. House seat challenges were the same problems that we continually face in all Federal races: Our success rate primarying incumbents is very, very low. Only Mike Lee and Kerry Bentivolio have had success. The former, however, had a ton of help and the latter only succeeded because of the fraud perpetuated by Thaddeus McCotter. Essentially: Attempting to primary an incumbent at the federal level is very, very difficult.

With the newly drawn districts, it is hard to say what the PVI is of each district, but it looks like we made modest gains. Hopefully Keith and stuff can expand upon that.

RLCNH endorsed or recommended candidates were successful in the primary
September 13, 2012
http://nhfreedom.wordpress.com/2012/09/13/rlcnh-endorsed-or-recommended-candidates-were-successful-in-the-primary/

124 out of 145 of the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire endorsed or recommended candidates successfully advanced past the September 11th New Hampshire Republican Primary.

That means 86% of the RLCNH endorsed or recommended candidates were nominated as Republican candidates and will appear on a general election ballot on November 6th. The 124 candidates include 116 are candidates for state representative, 6 candidates for state senator and 2 candidates for executive councilor.

The list includes many people who endorsed Ron Paul such as co-chair of the 2012 New Hampshire Ron Paul Campaign - Sen. Andy Sanborn (http://andysanborn.com/), Rep. Mark Warden (http://www.markwarden.com/), Rep. Steve Vaillancourt, Rep. Guy Comtois and Rep. George Lambert.

“As an organization that is trying to push the envelope in the Republican Party to bring liberty and prosperity to New Hampshire by electing liberty-minded, conservative legislators, these consistent results indicate that our efforts so far have been successful,” said Carolyn McKinney, chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire.

Wasn't Lugar primaried out this year?

It's easier to primary out someone who the Conservatives really hate. Snowe dropped out of the race in Maine before the Primary. She probably would've won, but if there was a strong challenger, not so.
