"Lincoln focuses on the last four months of the president’s ’s life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed. 'Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition,' Spielberg says."

Another piece of propaganda pushing Lincoln as nothing other than America's Jesus and the Great Emancipator, freer of the slaves. Don't expect any reference to Lincoln's true motives or personal racism.

Lincoln was made to look like a piece of junk in the Ken Burns film. I've rarely seen any book or film that made Lincoln look good. They usually portray him as an incompetent president who sat around and micromanaged wars and dwelled about casualties, not very impressive.

Someone contact Oliver Stone to give US a movie on the real history of revisionist Lincoln and his handlers

Spielberg is dangerous to America

Not that I like Lincoln, but would you want a leader to not dwell on casualties?

I'm just stoked to see Daniel Day Lewis play Abraham Lincoln. One of the greatest actors of our time.

I don't think it's very good propaganda otherwise they'd release it in October.

Every time you see Lincoln dwelling on casualties, it creates a negative image in a viewers mind, especially because there were so many of them. Rather than dwell; do something constructive.

Gangs of New York is my favorite Day-Lewis movie. Love it.

Also, I distinctly remember him throwing a knife at a poster of Lincoln in that movie. lol.
