Anybody know of any flyers already designed that target a gay audience? If not, anybody have any ideas of some bullet-point slogans I can put on flyers designed for a gay audience?

Here are some slogans I thought of. What do you think of them?

Any others you can come up with?

Here are some of Ron Paul's pro-freedom for gays stances:

Ron Paul voted no on the anti-gay Federal Marriage Act

Ron Paul opposes governments defining marriage

Ron Paul wants marriage defined by individuals, not by government

Your input would be appreciated.

Ideally the message to communicate to them is that government has no place in marriage. Government is organized violence, and that is the antithesis of love. In a libertarian world the special benefits that heterosexual unions receive would be repealed, and all people would be equal.

So this I think is one of the places where Ron Paul's freedom philosophy shines.

Alot of Republicans are NOT in favor of gay marriage, and want to BAN gay marriage. Alot of Democrats want to BAN guns. People from both sides of the aisle want to BAN smoking cigarettes in public.

But Ron does not support banning any of these things, because he believes it is not the government's business to ban or promote anything, and in a truly free society, this is the best possible way for government to act.

Truthfully, I don't know where Ron Paul stands personally on gay issues. He may believe homosexuality is immoral like many other Christians do. I don't know. But that's the beauty of the freedom philosophy: you don't have to agree with something to believe strongly that you shouldn't interfere with someone else's right to enjoy it.

During the last debate, Dr. Paul was asked about "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy for the military. I think just quoting from his answer about individual rights that all of us have would be great.

Was that one of the slogans? I think that might be misread at a gay pride rally. j/k

How about something like:

Free to be, you and me;
Whatever our preference may happen to be.

Lets focus more on winning the REPUBLICAN NOMINATION first - instead of going after a minority group that barely even has any members as Republicans.

We need to better align with various CHURCHES first.

I disagree. We should target all demographics. The gay community is a solid community that we can easily reach. They're probably striving for someone to repeal the anti-gay laws, and RPs message will be well received. I think it's a great idea and like where you're headed.

I might even go to gay clubs to promote him. haha. That would be .... entertaining. lol.

Don't forget who signed into law the Defense of Marriage Act.

We really should target gays, but it's tough. Many believe in socialist values just by way of the Democrats having indoctrinated them as such. I would honestly like to hear from any gay people here who are involved in that community about how they feel we could successfully reach out to them. I used to have a lot of gay friends when I lived over in DC, but I don't know anyone here, so I'll have to rely on any info that any gay members of this community can provide. In a lot of ways, I do worry about communicating to traditionally left-aligned groups for fear of just being "booed off the stage", as it were, since Dr. Paul is running on the Republican ticket. I did notice that the local dyke bar here has an eventful.com demand for Hillary... Ick!

I think anybody, including gay people, wants to hear the message of personal liberty. I know Andrew Sullivan, who is a prominent gay conservative pundit is a big Ron Paul fan. I bet RP could even make a significant splash with the more left-wing gay community. His politics just make too much sense. Only the most rock-hard stupid commie statist types don't get it.

Maybe something like:

Believe in individual rights?

Believe in peace?

Believe in limited constitutional government?

Hate taxes?

Then you should be voting for Ron Paul 2008!

Followed by the quote from the debate about not treating people as groups but as individuals. I think that is the great unifier.

Then some facts about Dr. Paul.
