I want to see Ben Swann go national and become the most respected (and feared) journalist in the country.

Go national with which network?

Swann is a great example of non-partisan journalism, but that's not what the networks are interested in. In a perfect world, some non-partisan group would pay him and let him do his thing, but the downsides to that are that a - the pay sucks, and b - nobody ever sees the work those type of journalists do.

The judge didn't do too bad even if he was hidden away on FBN :p

I love the judge, but he isn't really an investigative journalist. He's more of a renaissance man, for sure - well educated in almost every topic you can name. Swann is more of a Bob Woodward, but if government today was run like Nixon's government, Watergate would never have broken. The president would have claimed executive privilege, and the tapes would have been erased to protect national security.

Additionally, Swann would never, ever again be allowed in the same building as the president.

The internet can be the great equalizer, but until somebody can monetize it effectively, the television is still going to be the main source of news for most people. And it's controlled by corporate interests who have as much interest in small government and free markets as the Fabian socialists do.

Nice piece! Sometimes Cenk really gets it. Of course he was forced off MSNBC because he wouldn't follow the "proper" (dictated) agenda.

He was great when he had his internet show but once he went to FBN, the Republicans neutered him.

If Ron gets a Fox show, maybe Ben could be his resident reporter.

Ben Swann freaking rocks.

I'm not sure people 30 and under get their news from the MSM - maybe the aspiring Republicrat butt-wipers, but not the independent thinkers.
