Between Cali and New York/Eastern seaboard, you have a good chunk of the nation's entire electoral votes. Fly-over country is represented disproportionately per capita, but the monster number of absolute votes is the coasts.

Check the policy in your state and put Ron Paul in as an official write-in candidate, which means his write-ins are tallied and counted. MOVE FAST!

Ron Paul’s votes will be counted

Dear American voters, You’ve put up with presidents who flirt with impeachable practices and undelivered promises, and you know that “big money” drives most political successes.

If you can avoid the prevailing tendency to confuse Hollywood and Washington, D.C., and the habit of clinging to the outdated two-party system, you still have the choice to elect someone who has proven himself consistent in fighting for individual rights, smaller government, less war, ... i.e. the Constitution.

Ron Paul’s unfamiliarity or “bad press” have been paid for by big business and the political machinery of both parties in their fear of your ability to think and to remember the founding premise of our country.

His write-in votes will be counted. Loyal supporters have registered a declaration of write-in candidacy with the California Secretary of State....

'sorry that page doesn't exist'?

He doesn't need a declaration of write in candidacy, he needs electors. 55 notorized signatures of registered voter electors.

If it is already done, great, but I do want confirmation, because otherwise I was going to look into doing it myself.

The only way to know for sure is to call the CA Sec of State, elections division. Or have someone in Sacramento go down and look. Ask if you can get a photocopy as a certified original, in case they "lose" it. They'd just need to put the timestamp and state seal on it.

I'll definitely check. I'll go through networks and try to find out if there is a meet up responsible too.

the people commenting on that little napa article...lots of ignorance. its not worth it to debate on the internet but these people would have some truth bombs dropped on them in person.

and for the national electors...the candidate needs to have his name entered on the list of candidates to vote for with the electoral college. how to accomplish that...I don't know.

seems like richard gilbert is following up with a national write in campaign as well.

I tweeted this link to him. People who are Central Committee members maybe shouldn't be electors. I can be one, though.

I'm in California. Sorry then, Gary Johnson. I would have voted for you otherwise. RP was also an official write-in in California in 2008.

Seems the write in candidate must declare being a candidate. (http://www.ballot-access.org/2007/10/30/florida-court-says-write-in-candidates-are-real-candidates/)

Yeah. YOu can still do it but you would have to be satisfied with considering the gap between the number of people who vote, and the number who vote for a named president, as a no confidence vote. they wouldn't specifically count it for Ron.
